St. Mary le Wigford Church is the Parish & Civic Church for the City of Lincoln and stands on the High Street in the City centre next to the railway station.
St. Mary le Wigford Church is the oldest Church in the City with the tower dating back to 980AD.
The tower houses four ancient bells dating from 1616 & 1636, making them the oldest peal of bells in the City.
The bells are rung for Civic & City occasions and for special services. St. Mary's is now also the home tower of the Lincoln University and Colleges Society of Bell Ringers.
