The bells are tuned as the front four of a peal of six. All the bells retain their canons. They are the oldest peal of bells in the City.
The bells were re-hung & re-tuned by John Taylor & Co of Loughborough in 1932. They were re-hung (lower in the tower) in a new cast-iron low-sided four bell frame from new fittings consisting of cast-iron headstocks & ball bearings. The original wooden frame dating from the 17th century was retained in its original position in the tower at louver level.
The bells go and handle well and are easy to ring.
