Rung half muffled immediately prior to the Royal British Legion, City of Lincoln Branch, Service of Remembrance held at the City War Memorial on the High Street.
The Service was led by the Mayor’s Chaplin John Campbell and was attended by the Right Worshipful the Mayor of Lincoln, the City Sheriff, members of the Civic Party and the Freemen of the City along with various Forces Organisations, Associations, Veterans & Cadets.
Rung in memory of all those who have lost their lives fighting for our Country in conflicts past and present, especially during the two World Wars. “We will remember them”
Rung especially remembering Captain DANIEL SHEPHERD “11 Explosive Ordnance Disposal Regiment, The Royal Logistic Corps” who died on 20th July 2009, aged 28. Daniel was from Lincoln and was killed on active service in Afghanistan earlier this year.
